Work Experience Student Oliver Graham joins the Unit3 team;

Over the past week I have spent my time at Unit3 for my work experience, I have always been interested about buildings and when I look at them how they are designed, and therefore always wanted to be an architect.

Before attending Unit3 I had very little knowledge about architecture and wanted to learn as much as possible during my time here. In only a week I have learnt a massive amount which will help boost my career in architecture in the future. I have learnt multiple skills such as different computer programs such as SketchUp which creates a 3D model of your design, how the research is done about the project and how to scale down designs. All of these new skills will help me develop my career in architecture and give me a head start over others. The thing I have enjoyed the most doing is creating ideas for a design, this stands out to me because it’s very creative and that it is your own personal idea that you can build off and be proud of in the end.

Unit3 has made my goal of being an architect more achievable and has also made me more determined to complete this goal of mine. I have really enjoyed my time at Unit3 and the project I have done and I am grateful for this opportunity.
