What we believe

Ethos

We believe that it is our responsibility to protect the environment and to reduce our impact on the planet. We are committed to sustainable practices in all aspects of our business, from the way we design our buildings to the way we power our offices.

We are taking a number of steps to reduce our environmental impact, including:

  • Specifying recycled materials and A+ rated building products from the BRE Green Guide
  • Reducing our staff reliance on vehicle travelling and switching to more sustainable methods whenever possible
  • Using energy-efficient appliances and lighting in our offices
  • Reducing our paper consumption and using our shredded office paper for chicken bedding
  • Recycling and composting

We believe that these steps are important for the health of our planet and for the future of our business.

We are committed to continuing to find ways to reduce our environmental impact and to ultimately be a leader in sustainable business practices.

We are also committed to educating our employees and customers about the importance of environmental sustainability. We believe that by working together, we can make a difference for the planet.

who we support

Unit3 have pledged to support the following environmental charities every year;

ONE TREE PLANTED: onetreeplanted.org

As the need for reforestation is global and ever-changing, ONE TREE PLANTED operate where trees are most needed now. This project supports Brazil, a country well-known for its rich ecological diversity and supports the habitats of Brazil’s iconic wildlife species, restore forests and improve the connectivity of fragmented forests and provides jobs to community members and smallholder farming families.

REWILDING BRITAIN: rewildingbritain.org.uk

Today nature in Britain is in serious trouble. More than half of our species are in decline and 15% is threatened with extinction. We’ve already hunted all of our top predators to extinction. Native woodlands cover a mere 6% of our land. Life has been torn from our seas to meet unsustainable demand.

Britain should be teeming with wildlife. Instead many of our wildlife populations – from songbirds to insects and plankton – are collapsing. To repair our planet we must urgently achieve net carbon zero — and natural climate solutions can contribute significantly to this aim. Protecting our living world and our climate are largely one and the same. And rewilding, the large-scale restoration of ecosystems to the point where nature can take care of itself, plays a vital role in both.
