Open Plan Terrace – Aigburth

An end terrace property in Aigburth, this home had been previously converted for an elderly resident and was in much need of modernisation. The Clients loved the character of the property, and wanted to combine this with a minimal design suitable for open plan living.
An infill extension to the rear created an airy space suitable for a kitchen-diner, with a large glazed door and picture window to create a natural flow into the courtyard. The glazed pitched roof over the extended area invites natural light into the space, and leads naturally to the snug / living space where the existing brick arch has been retained over the threshold, maintaining a heritage feature that the Clients fell in love with.
