Exhibitions

At Unit3 Design Studio, we believe that great design and architecture have the power to inspire, transform, and bring communities together. As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting innovative design thinking and celebrating creative talent, we regularly host a series of public exhibitions in our dynamic studio space, located in the heart of Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle—a thriving hub of art, culture, and creativity.

Our exhibitions serve as an open invitation to engage with the world of contemporary architecture, interior design, and urban planning, offering a platform not only for our own work but also for a wide array of visionary voices across the creative landscape. From established professionals to emerging talent, we’re proud to showcase the work of local and regional designers, university students, artists, and architects.

A Creative Hub for Ideas and Inspiration

At Unit3, each exhibition is thoughtfully curated to spark dialogue and provoke thought around the built environment and the future of our cities. Whether you’re an industry professional, a student, or simply passionate about design and architecture in Liverpool, our exhibitions offer a unique glimpse into cutting-edge projects and experimental design ideas.

One standout exhibition, Queer Spaces, explored Liverpool’s LGBTQ+ architectural history—highlighting the city’s past, present, and future LGBTQ+ spaces. This vibrant and thought-provoking show celebrated inclusion and identity through architecture, reflecting our studio’s mission to champion diverse narratives and underrepresented voices in design.

Supporting Emerging Designers and the Creative Community

Unit3 Design Studio is committed to nurturing the next generation of creatives. We frequently collaborate with local universities, offering students a rare opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional setting. These collaborations help build essential bridges between academic learning and real-world application, contributing to a stronger, more connected design community in Liverpool and beyond.

The quality of work has been exceptional and unlike some of the other architects. Martin’s professionalism and dedication to our project has made the design stage a real success.

Above all, maintaining communication with Martin has been extremely easy, he replies to all queries and requests in a very prompt and efficient manner. We did not have to chase anything and he has always delivered on his promises. The planning stage was successful due to Martin’s hard work, commitment and ability to liaise well with the planning officer producing a design that was felt to be impressive by all! We would not hesitate to recommend Martin and Unit3 to anybody and will definitely use them again for any future ventures.

Unit3 is a full-service agency. The only one we have ever worked with who can actually make design, branding and the built environment all work together. We will definitely work together again in the future and would recommend without hesitation.

Unit3 are a professional company with quality work and always meeting deadlines.

We found the sessions at our school really useful and it taught us loads about architecture and becoming an architect – we really enjoyed the drawing and model making too!

Unit3 are a fantastic practice that goes that extra mile. As PLACED Ambassadors they have delivered numerous workshops with us in schools that share their passion and enthusiasm for architecture with the younger generation. Students have responded really well to their friendly, accessible approach and I have no doubt that this enthusiasm transfers into their professional practice. A joy to work with.
