This year we launched our first ever Unit3 Christmas Charity Shoe Box appeal for ‘BetterDays Homes‘ – a Liverpool based charity that provides a safe space for mothers and children escaping domestic violence situations.
In total, we had 25 boxes donated to the appeal and rather than creating the boxes for the children (who were already catered for through other charity appeals) we collected boxes containing small luxuries, toiletries and gifts for the mothers (who are often forgotten about) to open on Christmas day.
As well as providing accommodation and shelter, this fantastic charity also provide counseling, self-esteem/ confidence building classes, C.V. building, assisting with job searches, through our network of contacts, a safe environment in which to grow and gain confidence and re-location support.
